Managing change has become one of the key skills that managers need to have. To manage change, there must be a commitment by the company to having this as part of the corporate model.
To manage change, we must embrace it, not fight it. As managers we must have that flexibility be part of our internal makeup.
The business or department you're in, and its success, will be determined by this commitment by you and the company.
This means that we must hold things lightly while focusing on the future. One of the tensions that come about from this is that we feel the pull of the present and future at once within. We must deal with present issues while knowing they are only going to be around for a little while.
