
John Dineen has been named President and CEO of General Electric's (NYSE: GE)Healthcare business on Thursday, replacing Joseph Hogan, who was hired by ABB Ltd. to be their CEO. ABB Ltd. is an electrical engineering company based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dineen is coming from the Transportation business of General Electric, where he also acted in the role of President and CEO. The unit is smaller than the new division he is heading, with the Transportation unit generating $4.5 billion, and the GE Healthcare unit accounting for $17 billion.
Replacing Dineen at the Transportation unit will be Lorenzo Simonelli. Simonelli is coming from GE Consumer & Industrial, and is president and CEO of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
