The hammer is coming down even harder on Eliot Spitzer, and the immunity granted to the prostitute that serviced him, "Ashley Alexandra Dupré," has to have him worried.
With this immunity, which will center around the investigation of the upscale prostitution ring across the world, Dupré can offer up all the tidbits of information without fear of legal repercussions: that's a powerful incentive, and I know she'll use it.
That also has to cast fear into the hearts of an unknown number of clients with numbers, as they'll be some big players involved, and who knows how deep it goes.
For Spitzer, this will be devasting, as information has started to come out that some of the trips he took could have been financed by taxpayers money, as well as campaign contributions. Investigators have also found he retained the services of another prostitute in Dallas also. It's getting worse for Spitzer, and going deeper.
Some of the information related to taxpayer money, is in relationship to using the state plane to fly to his appointments with prostitutes, as with the one involving Ashley Alexandra Dupré and the Emporers Club VIP had him on the state plane going and coming from the liaison. It's known that he used his state card to fly back from the rendeveous.
Other allegations from a source close to the situation says Spitzer would use campaign contributions to supplement the taxpayer subsidy, as the subsidy is limited in nature, and couldn't pay for the whole scenario he was partaking in.
In the Dallas situation, it is certain he used donations to his campaign to fund his dalliance, as far as related to hotel expenses and travel. So far it isn't known if he used taxpayer or donated funds for the prostitutes themselves.
Already a couple of those connected to his campaign have retained lawyers.
Investigation into his travels has brought up a lot of questions, as he attended a number of fund-raisers, which may have been the excuse and backdrop for his real purposes.
Either way, this man is in big trouble, and his horrid decisions and lack of leadership are inexcusable. People attempt to make it look like what you do in private and public are two separate things, but that's a bunch of nonsense. If you don't have self-control and self-management, you surely can't manage those things outside yourself or others.
