Florida experienced a huge power failure today, with conflicting stories coming out on what caused the problem and how many people were affected by it.
Some of the reasons for the conflict were because information was released from different agencies who had conflicting data.
It seems at this time the number of people impacted by the power failure was around 800,000. The larger numbers of over 4 million were probably assumed because Florida Power & Light serves that many people within the particular grids, but are not necessarily experiencing the failure.
Most of the power is expected to be restored by between 6 to 7 p.m. EST.
Some news sources also reported the failure came from nuclear power plant failures, but reports are they shut down because of the failure, not initiated it.
