At only 19-years-old, twin sisters Sam and Amanda Marchant have it together financially. The two are those who gained fame and fortune from their appearance on "Big Brother" in Britain.
They sat down and talked with Mark Anstead of the Telegraph about their attitude and handling of their newly found fortune.
Some of the deals they've made:
* Cosmetics brand Young and Pure offered them £150,000 to launch a perfume* Young and Pure paid another £250,000 for a skincare range.
* They were paid £200,000 for a Christmas advertisement for Barbie mp3 players
* Received £200,000 advance for a fitness DVD
* Paid for magazine appearances and interviews
* Paid for general appearances at various functions
* They say they've earned £1m since leaving Channel 4's Big Brother house

Attitude toward money
Said they learned to respect money
Only got paid if they performed chores
Learned they needed to earn money
That's how their parents taught them the value of money
Had first savings account when 8-years-old
Got weekend jobs at 16 to go to university
It hasn't really made us happy ... we're as happy as we were before
Made them feel more secure about their future
Don't want to waste money
They've earned so much money so quickly, that they don't really trust themselves
Financial Strategy
Chose to capitalize on their appeal through deals mentioned above, i.e. generated more revenue
They have a joint account at this time
All household bills paid out of that account
Amanda is in charge of phone bill
We've not made any mistakes because we've always been careful with money
We don't want to take risks and we don't want money to be a big issue
Putting half of their money in separate bank account for taxes, so they're not surprised
Bought a flat together for £545,000
Got an accountant
Set up a business partnership bank account
Two personal accounts have £1,000 paid into them each month, which they use for spending money - mostly on clothes
Always pay be card so they don't take out too much cash; wasting the extra change
Invested £4,000 in new clothes for modelling jobs
Prefer to use partnership account to get tax write-offs, rather than invest in an ISA
Looking into beginning a pension soon
The fame side
Strangers come up and talk about how rich they must be
People get personal with them as if they know them - it's embarrasing
They're not used to strangers acting like they know them
Not used to attention
These two young ladies may be blond, but they're not dumb. Most people twice their age don't take the care they do with their money. They have a bright financial future ahead of them, and I think they would have even if they wouldn't have received the windfall from their fame.
The respect and value they have for money (not love), puts them in an enviable position, as at the age of 19, very few people have the type of healthy attitude they have concerning finances.
Understanding they need to set aside for their future, get professional help, be frugal, and know money won't make them any happier than they are, is a tremendous lesson for many people to learn.
