
Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) continues on its roll, as the company broke a record again for the quarterly and annual all-time profit for a U.S. company. They held the former record as well.
For the quarter, the oil giant raked in $11.6 billion, way beyond analysts' expectations. That was an increase of 14 percent from the $10.2 billion they made in the last quarter of 2006.
Annual earnings for the company reached $40.6 billion, over the billion they enjoyed in 2006, where they earned $39.5 billion.
For the quarter, revenue generated was $116.6 billion, a huge increase over the $90 billion in 2006. For 2007, revenue generated reached $404.5 billion, an increase over the $377.6 billion for the year before.
Earnings a share also increased healthily, as for the quarter they came in at $2.13 a share, a strong increase over $1.76 in the same quarter last year.
