Talking to Fox News on Tuesday night, Republican sources said Rudy Giuliani will announce he's quitting the presidential race, and will endorse John McCain. The move is precipitated by his third-place finish in Florida, where he wasn't near the top candidates.
While his or McCain's campaign wouldn't comment, the GOP sources said it will be taken care of on Wednesday.
Giuliani has said he will be going to California, but did respond to questions about the Wednesday night Republican debate being held at the Reagen Library.
It seems by the actions of McCain and Giuliani that they are going to put together a joint press conference in California to announce Giuliani's official withdrawal, and his resultant support of McCain.
Along with a number of issues related to scandals connected to friends and possible personal misjudgements, his strategy of focusing on Florida in a all-or-nothing way, is considered a major reason for his downfall.
