After several months of checking her background and finances, the New Jersey state Casino Control Commission gave Ivanka Trump final approval to sit on the board of directors of Trump Entertainment Resorts. The company operates three casinos in the state.
She had been sitting on the board on an interim basis while going through the investigation. It was nothing related personally to her, it's simply the way business is done with potential casino board members.
Ivanka responded to the decision saying, "I've been on the board for several months now, and this is an opportunity to continue to contribute. The company is at a point where we need to make a lot of important decisions, and I bring a voice of a different generation, and also a female voice to the debate."
Her current position for Trump Organization LLC is as vice president of development and acquisitions. Daddy Trump seems to be pushing her slowly into a more public role in the company, as she's had a recurring role on "The Celebrity Apprentice," as well as having appeared in past episodes of "The Apprentice."
Ivanka attended one of the top business schools in America, the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
