Here's another funny, but dumb idea on this dumb Monday. British women will no longer have to pay more for a bra if they happen to be more endowed their their sisters: if they patronize Asda - a British retailer - and buy its George fashion range.
In a statement that was evidently made seriously, a spokeswoman for the brand said, "We're putting an end once and for all to one of the last prejudices -- that of the bigger-busted woman.
"From now on, all bras at George will be exactly the same price from A cup through to F cup."
Thing of the logic of this. Where will this lead to next? will people with a size 4X now think they are being discriminated against if they have to pay more than someone that's petite? This is just another stupid, irrelevant thing that people that have too much time on their hands come up with.
From the practical standpoint of costing more to make with the added material, a larger bra should be charged a higher price. Again, Asda has the right to make this decision, but to call it a prejudice against women with bigger boobs is about as stupid a statement as I've heard in a long time. I'm sure women all over the UK are having parades and celebrating.
Asda is owned by giant retailer Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT).
