
Video search engine company blinkx, announced that it has partnered with personal finance web site Kiplinger.com.
Per the agreement, blinkx will "host, transcribe and index" the video content from it financial contributors. It will be monetized by relevant advertising being placed against the video footage, and any revenue generated will be shared between the two companies.
Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx, said about the deal, "We're pleased to be adding Kiplinger.com's library of high caliber personal finance reporting to our video index. Kiplinger's is one of the most trusted and well-respected sources for consumers seeking financial advice, and we're delighted that this content will now be easily searchable on blinkx.com."
Hundreds of financial video reports will be available through the blinkx video index, including ways to manage your money and investment advice.
Blinkx is built to provide accurate, quick search in the burgeoning video and audio content space, where regular text search isn't near good enough. Blinkx says they have indexed over 18 million hours of audio, video, viral and TV content.
