In a not-too-secret deal, former CNBC (GE) anchor Liz Claman started her stint with the new Fox Business Network, making her debut Thursday.
Rumors had been swirling for some time when she left CNBC, and her non-compete clause ended right after the projected start of the Fox Business Channel.
Claman will co-host the "Fox Business" program with David Asman, airing from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
She is already paying other dividends for the channel, as she already landed an interview with the "Oracle of Omaha," Warren Buffett. Claman has interviewed Buffett in the past.
"We are thrilled to welcome Liz to FBN. She has a tremendous reputation in the marketplace for her ability to cover serious business and economic issues that impact everyday Americans," Fox News executive vice president Kevin Magee said in Thursday's announcement.
