
Anita Roddick, one of Britains most well known businesswoman, has died at the age of 64 after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage.
Roddick was take to the hospital by her family after complaining of a sudden headache and collapsing at home.
"Anita Roddick was admitted to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester, close to her home, yesterday evening when she collapsed after complaining of a sudden headache," said her family.
"Mrs Roddick was admitted to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit and her husband Gordon and two daughters, Sam and Justine, were with her when she died."
Last year Roddick sold her stake in The Body Shop to L'Oreal. She started the business, who's products were all made from natural ingredients, in 1976. It eventually grew to over 2,000 stores serving over 77 million customers across the world.
