“Dare to grow into your dreams and claim this as your motto: Let it be me.”
To me Mary Kay Ash hits upon an important secret in business leadership in saying our motto should be: "Let it be me."
Why it's important, is many times we are looking outside of ourselves for answers, when the answers could be us individually.
To fully appreciate this, we definitely need to know who we are and what we can do. It's not simply a matter of thinking positively about yourself. You can think positively and not have the tools for the job. The idea is to understand yourself realistically, know what the problem needing to be solved is, and from there taking the initiative to practically take care of it.
"Let it be me," is simply another way of saying you know what you can offer to a situation and are willing to take the responsibility and the steps to get there.
Those who want to grow and be promoted within a business must undertake the attitude and actions of "Let it be me." If you aren't willing to do that, you're never going to advance or reach our goals and dreams.
As Mary Kay said, claim this as your motto, if you do, you'll find yourself taking steps and looking for and finding answers to problems which you will solve. Do that and there's no company in the world you wouldn't be advanced in.
