The popular syndicated host Dave Ramsey has been recruited by News Corp. (NWS-A) to be the latest addition to their Fox Business Network, being named a primetime host.
Kevin Magee, Executive Vice President, FOX News, said in an announcement, "Dave Ramsey is a welcome addition to FBN's programming. Our primetime format will offer a new opportunity for Americans to benefit from Ramsey's practical financial advice."
"The Dave Ramsay Show" is listened to be an average of 3 million visitors weekly, and has been on the air for over 15 years and is heard on over 325 radio stations across the country. Ramsay will continue his radio show while assuming the duties of his new position.
Ramsey said, "We're honored to be part of the FOX Business Network from its launch. Television is a logical step for The Dave Ramsey Show and I'm glad we have the opportunity to take that step with our friends at FOX."
Ramsey built and lost a fortune in real estate, and offers people advice as a finance teacher based on his experiences throughout those years.
His focus has been on building wealth, financial responsibility and giving back to the community.
I think this is a great coup for Fox, as landing Ramsey brings with it a faithful base of fans that a large number of will tune in to watch him.
