Leona Helmsley left her dog "Trouble" a small fortune in her will, as she bequeathed the pup $12 million trust fund in her will. After the dogs' luxury life, it will be buried next to Helmsley in the mausoleum. In contrast, two of Helmsley's grandchildren, Craig and Meegan Panzirer, got nothing for "reasons that are known to them."
Others receiving money were her brother Alvin Rosenthal, who will take care of Trouble. Two other grandchildren, from her late son Jay Panzirer, also received $5 million each, with the stipulation they must visit their father's grave site once yearly.
Her chauffeur, Nicholas Celea, received $100,000.
Another point of the will was the mausoleum must be "washed or steam-cleaned at least once a year," which she left $3 million to that end. I guess Leona likes a clean house.
Money generated from the sales of all of Helmsley's properties and belongings was directed toward the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
Nobody in the will did better than her dog individually.
