Dow Jones & Co. (DJ) have doing a lot of shuffling in their management ranks, and the latest move has been to place Almar Latour in the managing editor position of the Wall Street Journal Online.
Latour will replace Bill Grueskin, who was moved to deputy managing editor of the "Journal" print edition. Latour moves from bureau chief of the technology group.
Dow Jones said the promotion of Latour is to help in their move to integrate the Web and print editions of the newspaper. There is still speculation floating around that when Rupert Murdoch and News Corp. (NWS-A) take over, they may make the site free to everyone.
The Wall Street Journal is the largest online paid subscription site, which includes 983,000 customers.
Included with the Journal Web site are CollegeJournal.com, CareerJournal.com and RealEstateJournal.com.
