Wal-Mart is Really a Buyer for Their Customers - Saving Them Lots of Money

What the great prices at Wal-Mart (WMT) has done for their customers has eliminated the need to sell to them. Low and middle income people especially rely on the company to get the best prices for them; and they do. That's why they are really are buyers rather than sellers, even though they move so much merchandise.

This is the reason why customers continue to vote with their dollars and coming back over and over again. Wal-Mart cuts the fat out of the processes and offers up their products as lean as they can be offered. People trust and count on them to do it.

What's even better is as they've grown throughout the years, they've also been able to maintain a feeling of warmth and community, letting their customers know that they're the most important reason they exist.

This has been one of the reasons for the attacks upon the company, as Wal-Mart makes them become lean as well and learn to cut out unnecessary expenses so people can afford the things they need. It's worked great, as customers save over $2,000 a year over what they would have paid with competing stores.

Wal-Mart understands its mission and fulfills that mission better than anybody else. That's why they've become such a great company.

Sam Walton insisted on these things from the beginning and continued to focus on it the whole time he was there running it. The results show how successful he was.
