While anybody could have told you that the attack against Wal-Mart (WMT) was failing, groups backed by unions conducted a survey to try to get some ammunition to to attack the company again. They failed.
In a recent poll conducted by Wal-Mart Watch, it found out to their chagrin that people are increasingly favorable toward Wal-Mart, as 71 percent said they had a "somewhat favorable" view of the store, up from 69 percent in 2006.
A spokesman for Wal-Mart added that this is consistent with their internal tracking and other independent polls.
People are starting to see how much negative impact renegade unions have upon
a ecomony, the workforce and even public services.
For example, picture what the retail industry would turn into if it started to be managed and run like the American auto industry. How much more would the poor and financially strapped people and families have to pay for goods at retailers like Wal-Mart if the unions had their way?
Or check out other renegade unions like those in California that wouldn't allow non-union jailers to work. The result was that 3 jails were closed down and now there's a crisis and criminals are being let go on the streets of California.
But back to the Wal-Mart. It really doesn't matter what polls say, consumers vote with their dollars - that's the bottom line. And the votes have been counted and tabulated: Wal-Mart wins; They have for years and will continue to do so.
