Determination, Dedication and Hard Work
I always like talking about things like these in reference to successful business leadership because it's always the invisible things within that eventually show the visible things without.
Determination is just another way of saying that you're committed to your vision; dedication means that you're willing to make it a reality; and hard work is the follow through on what's really within you.
This doesn't take away from the importance of vision and purpose, as none of these exist in a vacuum. You can't be determined or dedicated about nothing. There must be a focus first. Focus comes from a vision and dream. Mary Kay had all of that.
When you really have a powerful dream, you don't have to grunt or grind to conjure up determination, dedication and hard work; they're the fruits of a vision that captures you.
The results for Mary Kay were phenomenal, as the company was named among the 100 Best Companies to work for in America by Forbes, along with one of the 10 best for women.
These honors were never her goal, but fruit of the purpose she dreamt up and had a strong, emotional desire to accomplish.
Nothing can deny a clear, passionate vision that produces determination, dedication and hard work. Not that many people are willing to pay the price. Pay it and you'll win. Mary Kay did, and brought others along for the ride.
