Small business owners expressed the highest optimism in over a year and a half, with almost 75 percent of them saying that their current financial status is good or very good, and around 80 percent saying that they believe it will be better next year, says the latest Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index.
"Future expectations are the same as they were six months ago, suggesting little, if any, softening in small business conditions over the next twelve months," said Dr. Scott Anderson, senior economist at Wells Fargo. "At the same time, the drop in energy prices and interest rates since July has helped revive current conditions for small businesses."
Another strong number of small business owners - 94 percent - believe they are successful in their businesses, and another huge 92 percent happy with being owners of their businesses.
