Some final thoughts on Richard Branson

When contemplating Richard Branson's life, you see that he is a man that is always on the go. I don't mean primarily in physically running around the world, although ultimately it results in that. But I mean that within himself he has these ideas constantly floating around that he is looking at ways to give expression to.

What that does in his being competitive, is make him a hard target to hit, because he never settles down within himself.

How do you hit a moving target? It's not easy.

Another tremendous strength he has is to make people want to work for him. That very perpetual motion machine within him, makes him someone that you never know what will happen next with. It's exciting to work for him, there's really no other way to put it.

He also is coming up with endless, intesting ideas that people in the company and around him can't wait to hear about or give themselves to.

He knows how to tie exciting ideas into the thoughts of people that empower them to think that anything can be done. He's always trying to look for ways that he can provide something for people that many times only the "professionals" can do; like space travel.

In spite of all his accomplishments and experiences, he in reality has a humble side to himself, and doesn't mind interacting with regular people. Nothing he's done has ever changed that. He's a colleague and a friend that people know they can count on and trust. What more could you ask for in a creative, successful leader?
