Why Passion is so Important
One of the reasons so many business owners don't like their business is because they've never had a passion for it in the first place.
He has said that while so many people obsess with the bottom line in their thoughts when it comes to business, in reality it's not what makes the difference. With most businesses failing, he said the bottom line can't possibly be the deciding
factor in success, it has to be about more than only making money.
Not only does being passionate with what you're doing make life overall very interesting, according to Branson, but it'll make you want to work hard at it, and your passion will make you an expert because of your deep, genuine interest in what you're doing.
Sure you'll have to do the work to become an expert in your field, but when you love it, it's something that's not that hard to do, and it will come about because your passion is fueling it without really thinking about it.
That passion will also filter down to your people and your customers; and the results will simply be a measure of that passion being immersed throughout the company.
Passion can cover a lot of mistakes.
