What do you think the most important thing that Branson considers an entrepreneur must have? He says that when all is said and done, it's nothing more than the willpower to stick it through.
He added that in spite of everything, he's made a lot of mistakes. The thing that has always taken him through it all was his determination to stick with it no matter 
what. That, more than anything else, has been the reason for his success.
Especially in the beginning of any new venture, it's extremely hard work just to get the bills paid. Anyone that doesn't have that ability to stick with something when they're convinced they're in the right business, won't make it even if it's a great idea and niche market you've found.
That's the reality about business; anything and everything will eventually go wrong. Only those that keep on working no matter what they feel like, will be those that reach the prize at the end.
He has also said that the difference between success and failure is a much thinner line than you believe. You've simply got to keep fighting when everything within you says to give up.
