Why is it that different management styles, approaches, visions, execution and performance can succeed while others fail? Why is it that people who go down different paths succeed in spite of having different personalities and values? Why does an industry succeed that you don't think should succeed does, while one that seems like it should explode, falls flat to the ground?
Here's another question: Why do people that attempt to copy other businesses never really succeed in ousting them out of their territory and market? Now I didn't say competitors that offer products that directly compete with yours, I'm talking about copycats that think it's the details that are copied that will bring success.
What's the secret to those that are diametrically opposed to one another in processes, thought, and vision...but still are able to achieve great results? The secret is simple but extraordinarily powerful: What they represent and practice are things they genuinely believe in. Who they are and what they do are the same.
To be true and consistent in who you are as a business and management team, while producing the results you promise, will be seen by people that are looking for something real; that is something that cannot be duplicated and copied - it's the ultimate differentiator!
This translates to managers and leaders being completely genuine with their people. People know those who are genuine; it can't be hidden or faked. When people really know you're real in what you represent and believe, the things they will do for you won't even have to be pressed or forced, they'll do it because they know you're real.
