A long time ago a friend of mine who was an artist, tried to help me to understand one of the passions he had when he was doing his painting. He told me that the secret to him was all in how you approached detail; you had to be almost obsessed with it.

Here's another important secret that underlies all of that: detail implies caring about what you do and the customer's experience. So execution demands attention to detail and detail requires passion for people. Get these right in the niche you serve and very few will be able to compete with you.
