In any endeavor in life, there is one thing that separates the successful from those that don't succeed: their ignoring of time.
I mean this in a positive way in this context. When you go about trying to achieve something, time is always there mocking you, tying to woo you away from sticking with it.
In management and business it's the same way. You can go about implementing something and if it doesn't work real well in the short-term, you toss it away and go on to the next "new" thing; never really getting something solid and lasting into your company.
Learn to ignore time in the area of those things that you know you're right on. Stick with it, watch it, adapt and change as you experiment with it, but don't quit it! Most people and companies aren't willing to stick with something if it doesn't give results in the very short-term.
The key to it all is making sure that your business intelligence (information) is correct and accurate, and then committing yourself to it until its completed. This is more than the great majority of companies are willing to do.
Ignore time when you know you're onto something great. Keep pushing until you reach your goal!
