Probably one of the great dangers of the information age is the endless banter and chatter that basically amounts to nothing.
As managers do we want to end up in endless fruitless discussions, or make decisions put them into practice and then observe and see how they work?
One of the great problems we have is that everybody wants to tell us what is best rather than show us what is best.
Do you want to know how to beat your competitors? Be action oriented rather than theory oriented. There are people that just love to throw theories around to make themselves look important. In the area of business and management we need to develop the attitude of "Who cares?"
You can beat an idea to death and look at 500 ways it won't work, but still not be doing anything, but think because you're talking about it that you are.
Let your competitors do the eternal talking, you do the practical action and you'll see that you're always in the lead over them. The bottom line is don't simply say what you're going to do, first do it, then afterwards explain it. That is the secret to companies that are always ahead of their competitors and why competitors are having to adapt to them, rather than the other way around.
