Sometimes as a manager, when you know you're really on to something that will work, but you find a lot of resistance by your bosses and also some of the employees, there is something that you can do to make it work.
Those who have been receptive to your idea, talk to and ask if they're willing to commit to making it work. There should always be those in your business that have a pioneering spirit.
The major thing is to convince those in favor that only profit for them can come out of it, and the rest of the workers not interested that it can't hurt them. You will find your core group to work with. This is not totally new, although it is resisted at first.
What do you want to do with this new team? Take them into the particular area that you believe in and isolate them while they work on it.
The very fact of your existence within the company will spread throughout the workplace. When you start to be successful in your efforts and the team recognized, believe me it will take on its own viral life. Pretty soon it will spread throughout the whole business and what you envisioned will take place.
What is shown by this is that a small group of dedicated, radical people can make a huge change in a company. The thing we all have to do is to be given a chance to prove it rather than just talk about it. A small team can offer that opportunity.
