In a number of studies it has been shown that when management has a good plan in place, it is the consistent application of that plan that produces the superior company results.
There are two things to be aware of in this important area. First, the practices that are being implemented must be of high quality. Being consistent in and of itself is not guarantee of success if you're simply making the same mistakes over and over again.
But to be a great manager and company, there must be great processes that have been put in place. All great companies have them.
Now, with that being assumed, the companies that will succeed beyond others are the ones that have the will and determination to apply those quality practices day-after-day. It is there that consistency is the ingredient that separates the great companies and managers from the average ones.
This has been one of those long-known but little-practiced truths. Successful people have long known that they must establish a successful way of doing things, and once established simply consistently apply that concept over and over again.
Obviously this will include the change that eventually must come and new innovation. But nonetheless, even when that happens and adjustments are made, it will be time again to apply those changes consistently.
Those that do this will always be the frontrunners and success stories we read about. Have you found this to be true in your experiences?
