I found a neat idea on the cool business ideas blog that I wanted to pass on to you. It has a lot of great examples of what I believe is an excellent marketing campaign.
According to the founders of K9 Water Co., they believe that one of the most efficient ways to improve your dogs health and the easiest, is to provide them with sufficient hydration and essential nutrients.
From there they go on to describe what ingredients they use in their product to offer this to the readers dog:
"We use only purified water, human grade vitamins and no artificial colors. Our formula is the result of tests conducted by an independent veterinary nutritionist to ensure daily consumption levels are safe and accurate.
"Vitamin fortified, flavored bottled water specifically formulated for dogs has been introduced under the titles of Puddle Water, Hose Water, Gutter Water and Toilet Water. The Original K9 Vita Water(tm) is fortified with vitamins such as A, B, C and manganese, and conveniently packaged in colorful, 1/2 liter, recyclable bottles, according to Don Magier, CEO, K9 Water Co. Inc."
I like how they bring out the benefits and then some of the features. Also the way it is packaged as bottle water, makes the connectivity with humans immediate. We understand the connection between bottled water and health, so it wasn't a stretch or hard to make people understand how it would benefit their pets.
It seems like this is a great example of marketing. When I listen to their pitch and what it does for your dog, it makes me feel good about the company and want to go out and buy it. Overall it's a pretty great idea.
CEO Don Magier says that "Dogs are raving that it's REBARKABLY REFRESHING! A delicious treat that can help maintain healthy skin and coat, and can also help maintain consistent energy levels and production of collagen."
The Original K9 Vita Water can be enjoyed in four of the flavors dogs enjoy most: chicken, beef, liver and lamb.
I included some of the specifics of their marketing descriptions to give you an idea of what I think is a great marketing campaign. It has everything in it, is simple and appeals to the love someone has for their dog. I think this product should do real well.

It actually adds to faster and higher level thinking because it moves and eases your electrical transmissions ...
Might as well grab a gulp along with the dog it seems...
