Some Realtors are using Blogging to get an edge

oepn.jpgWith the advent of blogging, it has provided some great opportunities to stand out from the crowd.

Real estate has always been a game of searching for new clients by walking a lot and knocking on doors. Along with that there has been the setting open houses on Sundays and making cold calls.

One of the greatest advantages to blogging according some realtors that do it, is that it makes the person and expert in the customers eyes. It is a way of advertising that allows a back-door way into the customers mind.

Those that do it, swear by it as the real estate arena is packed with growing competition, and blogging is a great way to make your presence visible to prospective customers.

Some of the ways that realtors market is through the offering of free tips in their blogs that helps with the does and don'ts of buying or selling a home, offering insights into the area housing market if someone is going to move into the area and general news of the local real estate market.

A number of them even write about specific neighborhoods that they serve often, which gives them tremendous leverage if someone is moving into that area.

One of the real benefits is that they just don't talk business but reveal some of the personal apects of their lives so people can feel like they know them before they even meet, creating a connection that makes doing business a lot easier.

According to the National Association of Realtors, 75% of people looking for real estate, start the process on the Internet. Now blogging is taking all of that a step further as we've talked about.

A number of realtors say that they get extra business from out of towners who are planning to move to their city because of the blogs. They hasten to add that this isn't a magic bullet as they still must use a number of tools to be successful, but it does provide extra business and gives a competitive edge over those that aren't participating in it.

Think of ways that you can use a blog to offer much more to your customer's experience, you'll be glad you did.
