I know that there are times when we hear of some marketing tricks of the trade that seem repetitious, but be careful in your business if you’re not implementing some of these techniques. You’d be surprised at how many of your competitors don’t do these extra things to add customer satisfaction, delight and return business.

Here are 5 simple but powerful tools to enhance your marketing campaign:

1. E-Mail Signatures: Don’t let your signature be only a signature alone. Include with it your contact information, description of your unique niche you fill and something that is new or coming soon. Many businesses have reported customer responding that it has helped them to easily find their contact information and has even prompted requests for interviews from the media.

2. Invoices: Here is a great place to fill the statements with new products or offers or insight and tips that enhance the customer’s knowledge about a product or service. Putting coupons in the statement can also bring great responses from people.

3. Offer prizes or bonuses for referrals: I don’t care what business you’re in; people love this. as a matte of fact I have known some that are motivated because you simply let them know you want referrals and want to help. I’ve had people give me between 30 and 40 referrals at a time by simply asking and giving some type of thank you gift, discount or offer.

4. Use Stickers for Referrals: I’ve known of some businesses that have simply put stickers all over everything that went out of their offices and stores simply mentioning that they wanted referrals. They have told me that they got huge responses from this simple technique.

5. Frequent-buyer rewards: This one is fantastic for rewarding your great customers. It creates a tremendous amount of customer satisfaction and bragging on what they got. The only thing to keep in mind with this is that you must remember to ask your customers if they are part of the program. When you forget to, they will wonder why they weren’t credited with the buy. Just keep a good, easy to understand tracking system in place, and you should do fine.

These are five simple tools that will greatly enhance your customer’s experience and bring them back again and again while growing your base.
