We talked last post about the new service Microsoft has started for its small business customers. We’ll take a little more detailed look at it in this post.
Doug Leland, general manager for small business at Microsoft's Worldwide Small and Midsize Solutions and Partner Group adds that those who sign up for the plan will be eligible for software product training, as well as training on how to apply Microsoft technology to the particular job their involved in. The training is available for Office Suite and Office Small Business Accounting products.
All of this will be customized for the various management, marketing and technical needs of the company.
Microsoft is offering three different packages called Bronze, Silver and Gold, and each has a yearly subscription fee. The bronze package offers six online chat for $149; Silver for $299 offers unlimited online chat support; while Gold for $499 merges unlimited online support with phone support added in. As in incentive for new members of the Small Business Plus plan, those operating in the and get to try the Silver package for a free trial for 45 days. These products are offered technical support for: Windows; Office components Small Business Management, Small Business Edition, Professional Edition, Live Meeting, OneNote, Outlook Live, Visio, Project and Small Business Accounting; Small Business Server; Microsoft business applications Great Plains, Navision, Small Business Financials and Solomon; Microsoft Retail Management System; Point of Sale; and Microsoft Customer Management. These seems to be an excellent move for Microsoft small business customers who want to spend time building their business not spending too much time on technical issues.
